China

1) Occupational Health Management Regulation for Operators with Risk of Exposure to Radioacticity

Issued on 3 June 2007, and will become effective on 1 November 2007.

The operator in this regulation is defined as an operator potentially exposed to radioactive radiation during operation. It provides requirements for training prior to employment, personal dose monitoring, occupational health management including medical surveillance and recordkeeping.

 

2) Technical Requirement for Environmental Labeling
Products Eco-Housing (HJ/T 351-3007)
Effective on 1 November 2007.

  • Applicable to new and modified / renovated residential buildings,
  • stipulating that Eco-house labels can only be granted to residential buildings with an approved compliance with relevant national and local regulation and standards during the design and completion inspection phase.

1) National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work
Released on 18 July 2007.

  • is part of a package of occupational health and safety material in support of the National Standard for Construction Work and aims to provide the basis for the development of a nationally consistent recognised induction training for persons engaged in construction work in line with the NOHSC National Standard for Construction Work of April 2005.
  • is of an advisory nature unless made mandatory in State or Territory legislation.
