The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is presenting a series of online sessions to help companies understand how to fulfill their obligations under REACH, and posting them on its web site within a week following the live presentation. A November 4 webinar on general principles for preparation and submission of dossiers has already been posted. A second webinar for Lead Registrants entitled “Fulfilling Information requirements Part I: Gathering and evaluating information on intrinsic properties” will take place on November 30. This webinar will explain information requirements, how to justify waiving them, and how to complete “robust summaries” of toxicity studies. A third webinar entitled “Fulfilling Information requirements Part II: Addressing Information Gaps and Providing New Data” is scheduled for December 10. It will include a discussion on determination of chemical toxicity through comparison to structurally similar compounds, and the use of in-vitro data. Webinar information is available at
