The Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC) is celebrating 30 years of delivering cost-effective, high quality continuing education on a wide range of topics of importance to professionals managing all aspects of hazard communication programs.
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is presenting a series of online sessions to help companies understand how to fulfill their obligations under REACH, and posting them on its web site within a week following the live presentation. A November 4 webinar on general principles for preparation and submission of dossiers has already been posted. A second webinar for Lead Registrants entitled “Fulfilling Information requirements Part I: Gathering and evaluating information on intrinsic properties” will take place on November 30.
The European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) took effect June 1, 2008, replacing 40 laws governing industry’s use of chemicals within the European Union (EU).
