Issues Forum

Purpose

To provide a forum for senior corporate officials with lead EH&S responsibilities to:

• Engage in candid and confidential discussions of critical business issues with other corporate thought leaders

• Engage in formal and informal benchmarking to assist in developing business strategies and solutions for effective EH&S management

• Develop plan actions to address selected issues of interest to members

• Members-only website and bulletin board

• Access to ORC consultant expertise and support

• Special topic projects and benchmarking

Forum meetings focus primarily on strategic leadership and management issues and opportunities; promote joint problem solving among forum members; and facilitate sharing best practice information on issues of critical importance to EH&S leaders.

Forum Operations

Two 2-day meetings are held each year. Special roundtable sessions at each meeting are designated for member benchmarking and ample time is allotted for group discussion following each topic on the agenda. Group deliberations have evolved to include identifying and addressing key action items that can be best addressed through joint member efforts.

Projects are performed between meetings as requested by EBIF members, e.g., action items, benchmarking surveys, etc.  A member company Steering Committee helps set meeting agendas and provides input on other services.  Selective mailings on EH&S regulatory and business-related issues are provided between meetings.
